LaSalle College Vancouver has opened its new, purpose-built campus—a modern, light-filled environment designed around how creative people learn today. The Board of Directors and leadership team at LaSalle College Vancouver had the honour of inaugurating the new campus this summer, including Dr. Jason Dewling, Chief Learning Officer; Robin Dhir, Board Chair; Dr. George Iwama, Vice-Chair; Dr. Robert Campbell and Tanya Ponnan, Board Members; and Dr. Jamie Kemp, Chief Academic Officer.
This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new era for our college and the local design community. As part of LCI Education’s expanding constellation of next-generation campuses worldwide, the new campus offers a fresh, inspiring model for creative education in Vancouver and beyond.
Light Everywhere
From the start, the design team treated natural light as a building material. With 85% of the campus naturally lit, studios and classrooms feel open, uplifting, and ready for ideas. A living wall brings the lobby to life, while skylit common areas turn in-between spaces into bright, comfortable places to gather and create.
People First
A campus built for creativity has to be built for everyone. The new building is both Fitwel Certified and Rick Hansen Gold Certified—recognition that places LaSalle College Vancouver among the leaders in healthy, accessible, human-centred campus design. Wide circulation paths, inclusive layouts, and health-first details help learners move through their day with clarity and comfort.
Real Work
Spaces matter most when they support real practice. Culinary students learn in professional kitchens, complete with an on-site café run by Baking & Pastry students. Digital Media programs use Dolby Atmos studios, Cintiq and editing labs, and a soundstage equipped with a 20-ft LED wall and green screen cyclorama. Fashion and Jewellery studios, drafting labs and maker spaces create room for precision, experimentation, and craft. Every corner is built for hands-on learning.
Flow Matters
Creative momentum rises and falls, and LaSalle College Vancouver's new campus moves with it. A suspended theatre, gaming lounge, and flexible breakout spaces offer different modes for collaboration and exploration. Sixteen modular walls let classrooms shift as programs grow—an architectural reminder that learning is never static.
Space to Breathe
Inspiration needs rest, too. A Meditation Garden featuring Indigenous art, rooftop gathering spaces, and culinary planters create moments of quiet connection. Students can reset between projects, recharge with friends, or simply enjoy the mountain view.
Together, these elements make LaSalle College Vancouver one of North America’s most thoughtfully designed environments for creative learning. The campus joins LCI Barcelona and other LCI Education locations in setting a new standard for purpose-built, future-ready spaces shaped by innovation and care.
