LaSalle College Vancouver's Department of Student Services is committed to providing comprehensive student services that promotes student engagement, growth, and development for all students. Student Services does this by providing coordinated, intentional services that supports all of our students' individual academic and personal development.
Engagement Events
At LaSalle College Vancouver, it is crucial to engage our students on campus. We offer a variety of opportunities to participate in events ranging from small art events, movie nights, and game tournaments to field trips and open mics. Student Services hosts numerous events to welcome students and help them integrate successfully into the college community.
Wellness Workshops serve as an integral aspect of the event offerings at LaSalle College Vancouver, designed to cater to both the physical and mental wellness of students. Yoga, meditation, painting, and self-defence workshops are a few examples of the wide array of Wellness Workshops offered on campus.
Community Service
To advance a more sustainable and inclusive world by 2030, the United Nations has established the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an ambitious and all-encompassing plan. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals, address a wide range of interrelated problems, such as gender equality, clean water, sustainable cities, poverty, hunger, health, and education.
LaSalle College Vancouver proudly supports sustainable development goals by having a dedicated committee focusing on creating events and opportunities to raise awareness about the goals. We align our actions with the goals to ensure our continuing commitment towards the SDGs. Recent examples of events conducted at LaSalle College Vancouver to promote the SDGs include:
- Reusable Coffee Mug Initiative (Responsible Consumption & Production)
- Beach Clean Up Day (Clean Water and Sanitation)
- World Whale Day Celebration (Life Below Water)
Toastmasters Club
LaSalle College Vancouver has collaborated with Toastmasters International to establish a special club named "Talking Titans." To enhance students' public speaking and leadership abilities, the college has covered 50% of the yearly Toastmasters membership fee along with the registration fee, ensuring accessibility and affordability for all students.

Student Ambassador Project
Becoming a student ambassador is not only a valuable opportunity for personal and professional development but also a way for students to give back to their college community. These roles come with benefits such as networking opportunities, leadership experience, Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded a co-curricular transcript and a personalized letter of reference.
Student Volunteer Project
At LaSalle College Vancouver, students who receive scholarships are required to complete a specified number of volunteer hours, to encourage community engagement and motivate students to become globally minded citizens. The Student Services team supports students in discovering and promoting avenues to volunteer with and contribute to. Students can collaborate and create a plan with staff to complete their hours and, upon completion, receive a volunteer certificate showing the number of hours they work.
This opportunity helps students to engage in activities that facilitate their connection with and service to both the campus and the wider community, while also allowing them to hone their developing skills through practical experience.
Student Counselling and Mental Health Support
Counselling Services
At LaSalle College Vancouver, we understand that navigating academic, personal, and social challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming. To support our students’ well-being, we provide a range of confidential and free counseling and mental health services. Our services aim to enhance student mental health, well-being, and success at LCV through individual counseling, psychological assessments, and therapy, using a short-term, solution-focused approach.
Counseling services also promote wellness through workshops and events around campus on a variety of topics including self-care, how to stay motivated, stress management, and more.
Academic Accommodations
Academic Accommodations can help students with a disability and/or ongoing medical conditions (including mental health) achieve academic success. The Academic Advisors can work with eligible students to implement reasonable and appropriate Academic Accommodations. If you identify as someone who may need additional support/accommodations or if you have received academic accommodations in the past, please contact the Academic Advisors know as soon as possible to avoid any delays while you are at LaSalle College Vancouver.
