Financing Your Studies

Financing Your Creative Future
At LaSalle College Vancouver, we believe that finances should not stand in the way of your educational goals. Explore the options available to applicants for financial aid and scholarships, all designed to support you in achieving your dream career:
Government Student Loans
Financial assistance may be available through the Canadian and provincial government student loans programs for full-time students who are Canadian citizens, permanent resident or have protected person status. Students must apply for loans through the province or territory in which they have established residency. Residents of British Columbia can apply for loans through StudentAid BC. For more information on how to apply and manage your student loans, visit the Government of Canada’s Student Loans website.
Canada Student Grants
Eligibility for Canada Student Grants is automatically assessed when a student applies and qualifies for a government student loan.
Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)
Canadian residents studying full-time at LaSalle College Vancouver may have the opportunity to fund their education through the Government of Canada’s Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP). The LLP allows you to withdraw up to $10,000 per year from your registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs), with a maximum withdrawal limit of $20,000. These funds can be used to finance education for you or your spouse or common-law partner. For more details, please visit the Government of Canada’s Lifelong Learning Plan page.
Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)
The Registered Education Saving Plan (RESP) allows savings to grow tax-free until the beneficiary is ready to enroll full-time into a qualified post-secondary institution. Students can use their personal savings and withdraw funds from their RESP to fund their studies.
Student Line of Credit
Financial institutions may offer student lines of credit or other private loans to help pay for post-secondary education, whether it’s tuition, books, or day-to-day expenses.
Payment Plans
If you require flexibility in managing your tuition payments, consider setting up a payment plan. Payment plans are available at LaSalle College Vancouver in some circumstances and are subject to credit approval by the Student Financial Services Department. Payment plans require proof that the student has the financial capacity to make payments and, in some cases, additional documentation may be required to support the application.
Indigenous Scholarship
LaSalle College Vancouver offers scholarships worth up to 80% of the total program tuition for Canadian indigenous students enrolled in our on-campus diploma and degree programs (with the exception of the Associate of Arts degree). Visit our Indigenous Scholarship page to learn more about eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and application processes.
