Message from Our President
June 2025
At LaSalle College Vancouver, our aspiration to become a university by 2030 reflects our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the evolving needs of our students and community. Achieving university status will allow us to broaden our program offerings, deepen our applied research capacity, and enhance our global reputation—all while remaining rooted in the creative and career-focused education that defines us.
In preparation for this transformational goal, we will adopt key behaviors that align with institutional maturity and academic rigor. These include:
- Strengthening Academic Governance through enhanced faculty leadership and transparent decision-making.
- Expanding Program Offerings at the undergraduate and graduate levels to meet provincial and global demands.
- Fostering a Research Culture that supports applied and creative scholarship aligned with industry and community needs.
- Building Strategic Partnerships with academic, industry, and community stakeholders.
- Investing in Faculty Development to ensure excellence in teaching, scholarship, and leadership.
- Upholding Quality Assurance Standards that align with provincial university-level expectations.
Becoming a university is not simply a change in designation—it is a commitment to deepening our impact, expanding our reach, and delivering exceptional educational experiences for generations to come.
Follow along this journey with us as we embark on this commitment to quality education!
