Lin Cheng

Fashion Design Faculty
A monochrome, eye-level, medium shot depicts a woman with shoulder-length hair, wearing a tweed suit, seated with her hands clasped in her lap against a light-colored background.

Lin Cheng has worked in Fashion Production in Vancouver since 2008. She began her Production Design career working with AinslieWear, Dance wear, and has worked as a digital embroidery machine operator at Justine Stitches. She has also worked as a Lead Patternmaker at Dampkring Designs and became General Manager of the studio. All thanks to her work experience in production and her excellent skills as a pattern drafter.

Since childhood, Lin always wanted to be a teacher. Her passion to share her knowledge and experience with others landed her an opportunity to become a computer pattern-making instructor in 2016 at The Art Institute of Vancouver, in 2017 to 2019 at the Visual College of Art and Design, and recently at LaSalle College of Vancouver.
