Kitchen Series: Cooking Classes in Vancouver
Salmon
Pacific salmon is one of British Columbia's great ingredients. It also has a reputation for being easy to get wrong — overcooked, under seasoned, or simply not done justice.
This class fixes that.
In this hands-on cooking class in Vancouver, part of the Kitchen Series at LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV), you'll prepare salmon three ways: cedar planked, tataki, and en papillote. Three techniques, three completely different results, one fish that deserves to be understood properly. The salmon is locally sourced and of exceptional quality — because technique only takes you so far and the ingredient matters.
Led by one of LCV's most skilled chef instructors in a professional kitchen built for exactly this kind of precision work, you'll leave knowing how to handle, prepare, and present BC salmon in a way that does it justice every time.
Each class includes a welcome drink paired to the menu, plus recipes and an apron to take home.
