Surviving cancer.
2011 Prime Time Emmy Award for contributions to the production Gettysburg.
What are your creative inspirations or influences? Who are your heroes? I am influenced by what I see in my favorite films and television shows. I was inspired to get into the industry after seeing Ironman in 2008. My favorite part of a movie is during the end credits, watching the massive lists of compositors who worked on the film.
What do you enjoy the most about your career?
That my work is on TV.
How did your education at LaSalle College Vancouver help prepare you for your career?
LaSalle College Vancouver gave me the technical skills necessary to do the work and the professional skills to go out and get a job.
What advice do you have for people beginning their careers in your profession?
Do not be willing to sacrifice your personal health for work. It is not worth it to do harm to yourself just to get ahead. What we do is incredibly cool and requires a lot of time and focus, but remember: it’s just a job.
