LCV Introduces New School of Information Technology and 3 New Diploma Programs

Vancouver, BC — LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV), proud member of LCI Education network, is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of three new diploma programs under its newly established School of Information Technology, welcoming its first cohort in Fall 2026. This development reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to providing industry‑relevant, future‑focused education that meets the evolving needs of students and employers in British Columbia.

Applications are now open for Fall 2026 for the following programs:

Computer Science: Web and App Development

This 12‑month diploma program prepares students to build responsive websites, interactive applications, and digital products using modern programming languages and frameworks. The program emphasizes full‑stack development, UI/UX fundamentals, databases, and deployment workflows, preparing graduates for roles in web development, app development, and software support. A co‑op option is also available, giving students the opportunity to further develop real‑world experience and build industry connections before graduation.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

This 12‑month diploma program prepares students to design, train, and evaluate intelligent systems using industry‑standard tools and techniques. Through hands‑on projects in data modeling, automation, and neural networks, learners gain the foundational and applied skills needed for emerging careers in AI development, machine learning, and data analysis. A co‑op option is also available, giving students the opportunity to further develop real‑world experience and build industry connections before graduation.

This 12‑month diploma program provides practical training in network configuration, cloud systems, cybersecurity fundamentals, and IT infrastructure. A co‑op option is also available, giving students the opportunity to further develop real‑world experience and build industry connections before graduation.

These three new programs mark the introduction of IT studies at LaSalle College Vancouver, but they are not new to the LCI Education network, which has delivered technology programs for decades across its global campuses. With more than 65 years of academic excellence rooted in Montreal and established IT programs in cities such as Montreal, Casablanca, and Tunis, the network brings deep expertise to Vancouver. This expansion offers students in British Columbia access to globally informed curriculum and international learning pathways. 

Vancouver’s tech sector continues to grow rapidly, with strong demand for professionals in AI, machine learning, web development, and network management. By launching these programs, LCV is helping meet the region’s workforce needs while expanding opportunities for students pursuing technology‑driven careers.

The new School of Information Technology is part of a broader academic expansion at LaSalle College Vancouver following the opening of its new campus in 2025, British Columbia’s premier learning and creative hub. Additional new programs in Business & Management, Art, Design & Communication, and Hospitality and Culinary will also start in the Fall 2026.
