Associate of Arts Degree

The Associate of Arts Degree is a provincially recognized credential offered at LaSalle College Vancouver. It’s designed to provide a well-rounded liberal arts education and lay a strong foundation for continued academic success at universities and post- secondary institutions in British Columbia and beyond.

Students engage with a wide range of disciplines—from the humanities and social sciences to mathematics and the arts—while developing essential skills in critical thinking, communication, and research. This 60-credit program is structured to meet BC transfer requirements and allows for a smooth transition into third-year studies at partner institutions.

Use the BC Transfer Guide to explore how your LaSalle College Vancouver courses may transfer to other BC institutions.

Note: All general and program-specific admission requirements must be met for transfer eligibility. Partner institutions may have additional criteria or higher academic standards. Final credit recognition is determined by the receiving institution.

Partner Schools

LaSalle College Vancouver has developed academic pathway agreements with select educational institutions to offer a smooth, stress-free transfer experience for qualified students. These partnerships are designed to simplify the credit transfer process and support your continued academic journey.

University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC)

LaSalle College Vancouver has partnered with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC)—one of Canada’s top research-intensive universities—to facilitate a seamless transition for students from LCV’s Associate of Arts (AOA) degree program into UNBC’s Bachelor of Commerce program.

Students who complete the Associate of Arts (AOA) degree at LaSalle College Vancouver and are admitted to UNBC’s Bachelor of Commerce program (major in General Business) may transfer up to 60 credits, entering directly into the third year of the program.

University of the Fraser Valley (UFV)

LaSalle College Vancouver has partnered with the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) to establish a direct academic pathway for eligible students in the Associate of Arts degree program who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.

Through this agreement, eligible students or graduates of LaSalle College Vancouver’s Associate of Arts program may transfer 30 to 60 credits toward a BA degree at UFV, with areas of focus including a major or minor in Communication.

For students who do not meet the eligibility criteria for the BA program, the Bachelor of Integrated Studies offers a flexible alternative. This option can be explored in consultation with a UFV academic advisor.
