Inspire, Celebrate, Advance: LCI Education signs Sustainable Development Accord
March 4-8, 2024, is Sustainable Development Goals week in Canada and to mark this special focus on SDGs, LCI Education has signed the SDG Accord.
"LCI Education has been a firm supporter of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal’s for several years. Signing the SDG Accord is simply formalizing our commitment in a public way. The UNSDG's have been widely embraced by our organization and each new course throughout our global network is being mapped against these goals,” states Dewling.
Under the guidance of several global and local leaders, LCI Education has accepted sustainability as a core value, deeply ingrained in its culture and operations.
"Local campuses have embraced all the nuances of these goals which resulted in staff and students coming together to make hundreds of changes to positively impact our local and global environment," Dewling explains.
One such environmental initiative is LCI Education’s commitment to purchasing carbon offsets for its student’s travel and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) for colleagues who travel with Air Canada.
