For this edition, The Masters Mix: Film Production, we’re thrilled to welcome Zach Lipovsky, Emmy-nominated Canadian director, producer, and storyteller whose cinematic vision continues to shape the future of filmmaking.

Zach’s latest work, Final Destination: Bloodlines, marks the highly anticipated return of one of horror’s most iconic franchises, where his flair for inventive visual effects and pulse-pounding tension takes center stage. His diverse directing credits also include Kim Possible (Disney), Freaks (2018), and Dead Rising: Watchtower (2015), along with numerous acclaimed projects that bridge film, television, and cutting-edge visual effects. Zach brings a wealth of experience and insight into the art and craft of directing in today’s ever-evolving entertainment landscape.

About Zach Lipovsky

Zach Lipovsky is a Canadian Emmy-nominated director, producer, and visual effects artist who first gained recognition as a finalist on Steven Spielberg’s reality series On the Lot, placing fifth out of more than 12,000 aspiring directors. Since then, he has built an impressive career, directing and producing across a range of genres.

His directing credits include Dead Rising: Watchtower (2015) and the critically acclaimed Freaks (2018), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Most recently, Zach served as producer on Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), the highly anticipated chapter of one of horror’s most iconic franchises. Known for his innovative visual effects, cinematic storytelling, and genre-spanning creativity, Zach continues to push boundaries and inspire audiences through his work in the film industry.
