Honouring Leadership: National Recognition for Two Visionary Voices at LaSalle College Vancouver
LaSalle College Vancouver is proud to celebrate two of its most influential leaders, whose recent national honors spotlight their outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and community service.
Dr. Jason Dewling, Chief Learning Officer and Executive Vice President of LCI Education, and President of LaSalle College Vancouver, along with Robin Dhir, Board Chair of LaSalle College Vancouver, have been honoured with prestigious national awards that recognize their outstanding contributions, not only within the college, but across Canada.
A Royal Honour for Educational Impact
On May 15, 2025, Dr. Jason Dewling was awarded the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal by the National Association of Career Colleges, an honour reserved for Canadians who have made a meaningful contribution to the nation, their province, or local communities.
This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Dewling’s decades-long commitment to advancing post-secondary education in Canada and his tireless dedication to student success and community development.

“An award like this is never the work of one person” said Dr. Dewling. “I'm receiving it as a reflection of the many people I've worked with over my career to make a difference in the lives of students. They share this award with me”
The award reflects not just a personal milestone but also reaffirms LaSalle College Vancouver’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership in higher education.
Celebrating a Legacy of Community Leadership
In a remarkable parallel to Dr. Jason Dewling's recent achievement, Robin Dhir, Board Chair of LaSalle College Vancouver, was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal by United Way Canada, becoming the second board member to receive this honor in the same month.

Dhir was recognized for his significant service with United Way British Columbia, where he currently serves as Board Chair. The award celebrates his long-standing commitment to community development and leadership.
With a career spanning business, philanthropy, and public service, Dhir’s work has focused on fostering economic growth, promoting cultural inclusion, and driving positive change across communities.

“To be recognized for all my volunteerism and community efforts with this award was a complete surprise and a huge honor,” Dhir shared.
One of his notable achievements includes founding the Night of Miracles gala, which raised over $7 million for BC Children’s Hospital.
Leadership That Inspires a New Chapter
The recognition of both Dr. Jason Dewling and Robin Dhir marks a significant milestone for LaSalle College Vancouver, reflecting a shared vision of progress, meaningful engagement, and excellence in education. As the college prepares to open its new state-of-the-art campus, these honors spotlight the leaders shaping its next chapter.
Dr. Dewling and Mr. Dhir exemplify the values and vision that continue to drive LaSalle College Vancouver, and its global network, forward.
