From the sewing labs of LaSalle College Vancouver—where he earned his Fashion Design Diploma in 2020—to the radiant runways of Paris Fashion Week and the editorial spreads of Vogue Italia, designer Eduardo Ramos is emerging as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary fashion.

His latest collection, Alter Ego, is inspired by memory, especially the textures and stories of his hometown in Mexico. It feels like a personal manifesto woven with nostalgia, femininity, and resilience. Influenced by the strength of his mother and the emotional weight of home, Eduardo isn’t just creating garments; he’s crafting a narrative rooted in where he comes from and who he is becoming.

And the fashion world is taking note. His work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Harper’s Bazaar , Elle, Forbes, and beyond. Vogue describes his tailoring as “poetry,” praising his ability to break the rules, rebuild them, and transform tradition into personal expression. “In his universe,” the article reads, “every garment is a confession.”

Since graduating from the Fashion Design Diploma at LaSalle College Vancouver, Eduardo has earned major industry recognition. In 2023, he was awarded the Nancy Mak Award for Emerging Designer of the Year, spotlighting his potential to shape the future of Canadian fashion. The following year, he was named to the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) New Gen List, a prestigious honor reserved for the country's most promising designers.

Despite his rapid rise, Eduardo remains closely connected to the community that shaped him. As a passionate mentor and collaborator, he frequently returns to LaSalle College Vancouver to share his knowledge with the next generation. Whether guiding students as they refine their collections or encouraging them to design with purpose, he champions a creative practice that is intentional, intimate, and enduring.
